Should I have a craft name?

The decision to take a craft name upon yourself should not be taken lightly. This is a name you will be speaking to the gods with, so a name that makes you uncomfortable or upset is right out. I really don't want to rehash the previous section, so I've composed this as a pair of lists. Compare your reason to these reasons:
Good Reasons Why People take Craft names:

Coven Members: Because they are members of a tradition that requires them. To maintain secrecy in a group. To indicate they have been initiated into a group. Because they feel their new life as a Wiccan warrants a new name. To have equality in a group. To speak in public as a Wiccan without outting themselves. To indicate they have undergone a mystery.

Solitary Practitioners: Because they are members of a tradition that requires them. Because they feel their new life as a Wiccan warrants a new name. To speak in public as a Wiccan without outting themselves.

Bad reasons why people take Craft names:

• Because someone told them they should have one.
• Because it makes them feel "more Wiccan."
• Because they hate their legal name.*
• To tick someone off.
• To feel more spiritual or special.
