    Player info for Saturday.

It had been a rough three weeks, tooling around Misty Cross doing shit jobs to get on the good side of enough council members to assure most of them would come to your party. At least fighting the vampires was fun, but after days of delivering mail, saving an engagement ring from the sewer and even moving a councilperson’s sofa across town and up three flights of stairs, you were relieved that the party finally came, and went off without a hitch.

At the party, you carefully spread out as a group, leaving the more charismatic amongst you to ask the leading questions and find out the real movers and shakers in the political movement.

After consolidation and more than a little manipulation by movers and shakers other than your party, three camps seem to have been established, excluding a few people who genuinely seem to have no opinion, mostly the 3rd Mage Regent and one of the Harbormasters.

    • · The “Order” group is of the opinion that if the Queen is restored to the throne it will restore order and the city will benefit. This group includes Sara and Xan’s mother, who both know that Morgan is not the Original queen, but they are prepared to keep up the illusion she is. (Paladin’s view: This will result in a LG queen…that’s good!)
    • · The “Mayor” group, which includes the head of at least one powerful Mercenary group (The Black Dragons) is in favor of putting Mayor Scott Grayson in charge of the city for the remaining 4 years of his current 5 year term. He’s a very competent politician (Bard’s view: but the fact that he’s supported by Mac ‘the knife’ is a scary proposition, as it means that Mac thinks he’s in his pocket.) (Paladin’s view: Grayson is very dedicated to law and order, and seems to be a stand-up guy)
    • Pro-Slavery Contingent, headed by Beth Grayblade, a Halfling who runs the arena, is sponsoring Arletta Emeraldstaff, a very well known, and very expensive, prostitute, as the new queen. The understanding is that she is probably just a puppet of Grayblade’s organization, which has enough money to buy and sell the crown 2 or 3 times over. (Paladin’s view: Being both LAWFUL and good means we can’t kill evil people for being evil, but have no doubt, that halfling’s organization is DARK-SIDED!!!! It’s DORK SIDED!)

Whether you individually support the order group or not, there remains one distinct problem. Morgan’s been captured, at least according to MacIntyre. When a mysterious castle ‘appeared’ near her house, on the very day of the party, she slipped his guards (remember, she wasn’t under house arrest, just confined ‘for her own safety’) and went to investigate. She hasn’t been seen since. The Castle is still there, so there’s where you’ll be heading next.
